"War in Ukraine and Russian Orthodoxy: Motives, Theology and Personalities"

During the seminar we will discuss:

• the main arguments used by Patriarch Kirill and V. Putin;
• apocalyptic ideas, such as the "katechon", and their meaning in the contemporary context;
• the concept of "Holy Rus";
• symphonia: church-state relations;
• other important facts and theological motives.
