Seminar for Soul-Care Workers with Cornelia Reimer on 21 and 22 November

We invite you to a seminar for soul-care workers and counsellors with Cornelia Reimer!

Cornelia has more than 30 years of experience in soul care, women's ministry and mentoring. For the past six years she has been involved in the Peace and Reconciliation Network, which is part of the World Evangelical Alliance.

At the Latvian Biblical Centre, Riga, Kraslavas iela 27

21 November 18:00-21:15
22 November 9:30-16:30

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Cultural contexts in counselling;
  • People receiving soul care and their expectations;
  • Mentoring / spiritual accompaniment;
• Practical case studies and group work.

ℹ️ Participants will learn how the cultural background of both the counsellor and the person being cared for should be taken into account when seeking to help people. We will gain understanding of elements of cultural study such as identity, control/responsibility, time management, boundaries and forms of communication, and will look at their consequences in a soul-care setting. The seminar will also consider what the person receiving care may expect and bring into the counselling relationship. We will therefore focus on personality types, presenting problems and indirect questions, available resources and so on, as well as their impact on the process of soul care. We will also evaluate how mentoring or spiritual accompaniment fits into the soul-care process.

Seminar participation fee: EUR 50

Registration is required for all participants by 19.11.2025 at 20:00.
