Conference REFORMATION COLOURS on 1 November at 11:00

10th Conference REFORMATION COLOURS

Saturday, 1 November, 11:00

St Peter's Church, Riga, Reformacijas laukums 1, Riga.

Motto: In the power of the Word

On 1 November this year the 10th conference "Reformation Colours" will take place. The aim of the conferences is to consider themes related to various aspects of the Reformation in the context of the development of the evangelical church and world history.

The popular-academic form of the conference is understandable and open to every interested person, even without prior knowledge.

Through faith in God's Word and in the power of God that accompanies it, the Reformation restored to the church the original gospel and the Holy Scriptures, leading to repentance and knowledge of the truth.

Today God's Word is just as powerful to work in the church, so that, following Christ, it may fulfil its calling in this time.

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword ..."

(Hebrews 4:12)*

Participants:

Dr.hist. Gundars Ceipe, Pastor Jekabs Dzerve, Mg.theol. Milda Klampe, Dr.phil. Beata Paskevica, preacher Verners Steinbergs, Dr.theol. Ugis Sildegs, Dr.hist. Janis Silins, Gints Lusis Grinbergs.

)* - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no created thing hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:12-13; LG8)
