What Does “Culture of Honour” Mean? Press Release

On 31 May of this year at 12:00, a special meeting on the topic “Culture of Honour”, relevant to Riga residents, took place in the main building of Riga City Council (Ratslaukums 1), in the large meeting hall. What is honour? Do we honour others? Are we honoured? Is honour the same as love? How important is a “culture of honour” and how does it affect my personal life? The seminar was open, and any resident of the city of Riga could come and listen. Riga City Council deputies, employees, entrepreneurs, and other residents came to the meeting, altogether about 80 listeners. During the meeting translation into Latvian and Russian was provided.

The event was opened by Ainars Bastiks, adviser on spiritual matters to Riga Deputy Mayor Andris Ameriks, and Inga Zinge-Pupina, LEA Vice President.

Those present were addressed by internationally recognized and popular lecturer, trainer and consultant of various leadership teams, author of the book “Culture of Honour”, pastor Danny Silk, as well as international lecturer, founder of an international school (USA, Redding), founder of the pro-life movement and author of 8 books, including “The Supernatural Ways of Royalty” and “Moral Revolution”, pastor Kris Vallotton.
During the meeting we heard many good insights, personal life stories, and real-life examples. At the end everyone could ask the lecturers questions of interest to them. One listener asked when we would have the opportunity to meet the lecturers again to hear their reflections on other topics and other core values in each person's life. We hope that will happen soon!
