HM United: Made to GO

Latvia... the Baltics... the world... Such different cultures, different customs, languages, systems of government and standards of living, but do you know what is common everywhere? Everywhere there are people. Big and small, old and young, rich and poor, educated and uneducated. And everywhere there are those crying out for help. Everywhere there are the broken, the wounded, the crushed, the abandoned and those oppressed by sin. I think of a little girl hiding under a blanket and praying to God that it would stop, hearing the approaching footsteps of a stepfather coming to do things to her that no person should have to experience. Of a girl who has grown up on the street since her teenage years, where the only way to pay for shelter and food is with her body, and the only refuge where she can stop feeling for a moment is in the grip of some drug. Of a young man growing up in a neighborhood where bullets whistle faster and more often than thoughts, whose life motto is “you get someone, or someone gets you! The strongest survive.” Of cities turned into ruins by natural disasters. Of sons and husbands who fall in wars of power and greed at the hand of a stranger who, driven by fanatical faith and fear, tries to take as many as possible with him to the grave. I know there is a generation that has no God...

History Makers is a call finally to be the hands, feet and heart of Christ! To be those who love and reach out. Enough blaming others and looking for excuses. Since the 2011 HM UNITED camp we have traveled around Latvia with one prayer in our hearts: "God, awaken this generation!" In every city we prophetically proclaimed: “Time to WAKE UP!” An entire generation is waiting for you - for when YOU will finally say: “Here I am, send me!” /Isa. 6:8/

I believe that we have awakened! Something inside has come alive. Now it is time to go. It is time to be a voice and time to act. Maybe you do not feel ready. Maybe you do not feel that you have enough strength, wisdom or talent. Maybe you think you are too young. But we are here to tell you - God has made you ready to go. You are MADE TO GO. At this camp we will proclaim that we are ready to go!
