Charity event “Christmas Miracle”

For the fourth year already, the Latvian Evangelical Alliance, in cooperation with Ogre Christian churches, public organizations and Ogre Art School, is organizing the charity events “Christmas Miracle”, which include children's drawing exhibitions and contests, concerts, awards and gift-giving for children.

The drawing exhibition and contest has already gained wide popularity not only in the city of Ogre but also in Ogre municipality. Last year about 140 children took part in it (information and photographs from the 2011 event can be viewed on the LEA website).

This year as well, all young artists of Ogre municipality aged 3 to 16 are invited to participate in the drawing exhibition and contest, which will take place from December 2 to 26 on the 1st floor of the shopping center “Ogres Prestizs”, near the “TOP” store.

Their fantasies, visions, associations, emotions and dreams about Christmas can be shown in various techniques and forms, observing the contest rules.

Contest rules:

• drawing format A3;

• write the author's name, surname, age, contact phone and address on the back of the work;

• drawings will be evaluated on December 25.

The works will be judged by a jury led by Ogre Art School director Peters Aulmanis and representatives of the Latvian Evangelical Alliance.

The authors of the best drawings will be awarded special prizes at the closing event on December 26 at 15:00 in the concert hall of the shopping center “Ogres Prestizs” - 3rd floor; the contest organizers will contact the contest winners by phone;
audience choice prizes may be presented during the event by representatives of any organization
or by private individuals (after timely notice to the organizers);
all drawings will be posted on the website www.lea.lv (in galleries) after the event;
