An Appeal from the “Jesajas61.lv” Movement
Very soon, on 1 June of this year, the next municipal elections will take place, which means that governing authorities will change throughout Latvia, in every city and municipality. This is a very significant day for Latvia as a nation as a whole. It will influence Latvia's future development vision as a nation, because Latvia consists of cities led by leaders and their teams. This year 8,730 deputy candidates have been registered for all municipal elections. The Jesajas61.lv movement calls all Christians to stand in prayers of thanksgiving for the election process and results, so that leaders whose fundamental values and visions are a blessing for Latvia, for all cities and for their residents may be appointed to responsible positions, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
LET US PRAY FOR:
1. Unity and agreement. Psalm 133, John 17:22
Let us pray that there would be agreement and harmony among God's people! Let us thank God for it and proclaim it!
2. A new beginning. Isa. 43:16-21
This is a new beginning and a new opportunity for Latvia! God will do incredible things in Latvia! Let us proclaim a new beginning and thank God for what He has planned to do!
3. Glory, praise, knowledge. Isaiah 11:9
May God's glory be powerfully revealed in Latvia! Let us give thanks for it as if it were already here! Glory and thanks to God for His glory!
4. Latvia. Deuteronomy 28:13
Let us give thanks that Latvia will live according to God's commandments and will be the head, not the tail, in Europe and the world!
5. A proclamation over Latvia. Psalm 24
Let us proclaim Psalm 24 over Latvia, that Latvia belongs to the Lord, and let us invite the King of glory into Latvia!
6. Identity - the identity given by Christ. Matt. 3:17, Luke 3:22
Let us pray that God reveals the true identity of our nation! May we live in it and give honour to Jesus! Father, we thank You that identity comes from You and that You have placed it in each of Your sons and daughters. Father, we pray that You release revelation about true identity in Your sons and daughters. Lord, may they understand that they must serve You FROM identity and not FOR identity.
7. Leadership according to God's will.
God created Latvia for a special reason. Let us pray and give thanks that the people of Latvia will fulfil everything God has intended for us. May we express His glory! The new authorities also will be created for a special reason. May they be according to God's will and do what is pleasing to God!
8. Let us proclaim faith, hope, and love over Latvia! Let us thank God for this! 1 Cor. 13:13
THE NEW AUTHORITIES
1. Let us pray for the new deputies appointed by God.
We need deputies who hear from God, have the identity of royal priests, and have authority and mandate given by the King. Let us pray and release over the new authority in all cities that God leads and calls prophets, priests, and kings to serve the Lord in the new government.
2. Let us pray that city leadership includes people with vision and people who can inspire others.
3. Let us pray for God's righteousness and justice. Ps. 122, Matt. 6:3, John 16
4. Let us pray for godly leaders in the new city and municipal authorities, who fear God, who represent the values of the Kingdom of Heaven - honesty, respect, and love for one another - and who have a true servant's heart. Psalm 25:1
5. Let us pray for courageous deputies and leaders, people who are not afraid to say “Yes” and “No”. 1 Chron. 22:13, Acts 4:13
6. Let us pray for wisdom, God-given wisdom for leaders and deputies. Col. 1:9
7. Let us pray for municipalities that place their hope in God and not in people. Psalms 146:5-6
8. Let us pray for men and women of God who advise and recommend strategies to parliament and the cabinet of ministers, who ignite hope in people and in the nation, who release love and peace, and who are good and faithful servants.
9. Let us pray for godly servants in all municipalities - Psalm 25
PROCLAMATIONS:
1. Let us proclaim God's favour over the nation. Let us proclaim favour in the media and business in Latvia, in every municipality. Let us place God's favour like a shield over Latvia and every municipality. Psalms 30:8
2. Let us proclaim God's grace and mercy over the nation, Latvia, and new teams in all municipalities. Psalms 25:3-6
3. Let us proclaim Isaiah 60 over Latvia. Isaiah 60
