Carelessness or betrayal?

The majority of our country's residents consider themselves Christians, so the question is justified: why do we so often ignore God's principles and experience disappointment? There are many nations in the world that do not have their own state, but Latvians do. Twenty-two years ago God gave us the opportunity to regain lost freedom, borders, national currency, anthem, and flag. Unfortunately, we must conclude that we have acted very carelessly with everything that God in fact gave us as a gift. Latvia has been sold for the coins of betrayal, and the people live in delusion without knowledge of the Truth. This creates circumstances in which foreign teachings and moral principles can easily be accepted.
When we lived in the so-called fat years, I often urged: “Dear friends, please do not take loans! Credit is not a Biblical principle.” Many did not listen, but followed the cynical advertising offer - “Credit for your peace of mind” - and did not notice that behind the promise full of hope stood the snare of a trap that made people slaves of the bank for many years, perhaps even for their whole lives... In fact, ALL residents of Latvia are in debt bondage, because in 2012 Latvia's total debt had already reached more than 5.6 billion lats, and if this borrowing is divided among all residents, each resident's debt is 2,500 lats. Wise Solomon says: “the borrower is servant to the lender.” (Prov. 22:7)

Spiritual blindness or cowardice?

All right, we were not vigilant and made mistakes in financial matters, because for many years we lived under USSR occupation, where the only experience one could gain in leasing was with a three-litre jar or the state savings bank. But what about spiritual life?
The Dalai Lama comes to Latvia freely with his blessing. The Greek-born prophetess Vassula also publishes her holy writings in Latvian with false love letters from God. Even Tibetan Buddhist monks come to the schoolchildren's song festival with their advice on how to make mandalas, which are essentially occultism. The “Garden of Destiny” is offered to the nation as a project of the century. This new national sacred place is being created according to the project of a Zen Buddhist priest and architect. Unfortunately, even Christians are ready to take stones to Zakusala by the TV building so that later they can be delivered to the Garden of Destiny in memory of some soul.
People, whom do you believe? The Word of God says that a godly soul goes to God. No soul that has trusted God wanders around the world. Souls do not need a “Garden of Destiny”!
But the trusting Latvian nation is creating a garden where six hundred thousand souls could find shelter in tree branches and blooming flowers. That is the initial concept of this project. Do you know that in the centre of this garden a donation, or sacrificial, stone will be placed as an altar, on which candles, flowers, and offerings may be laid?
