2nd Reformation Colours Conference. Events

On 26 October the 2nd conference “Reformation Colours”, organised by the Latvian Evangelical Alliance, took place; it was dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and also to the 500th anniversary of Riga’s Reformation, which will be marked in 2022.

The conference was opened by pastor and Riga City Council deputy Ainars Bastiks. Seven lecturers spoke at the conference. The conference motto was “Reformation before and after the Reformation”, in order to look at the Reformation not only as one single event, but also as a process that took place before and after the events of 1517, at whose centre was Martin Luther.

This year too the conference adopted a Manifesto on the need to research and popularise the heritage of the Reformation, not only to remember God’s work and gift, but also to gain experience for our future.

 

The Evangelical Alliance is grateful for the opportunity for the 2nd “Reformation Colours” conference to take place in the Riga City Council meeting hall!
