“From Minus to Plus”

Evangelistic event “From Minus to Plus” (event period: 1 May - 15 June 2014)
And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14).
From 1 May to 15 June 2014, the Latvian Evangelical Alliance invites you to take part in evangelistic events throughout Latvia. We want to spread the gospel message in every city and municipality of our country. We have prepared special evangelistic materials, “From Minus to Plus”. It is a message that at the cross of Calvary God turned our minuses into His divine plus. We plan to deliver this message about Jesus Christ to every home. In every city and village, with the participation of local churches and foreign Christians, various evangelistic events will be organized. In Hebrews 1:1 we read that God “spoke many times and in various ways”; therefore during these six weeks we also want to address people in many and various ways, giving them the opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We plan the opening of the evangelistic event on 4 May 2014 in Riga and other larger cities of Latvia, to motivate and encourage every church and Christian to reach Latvia for Jesus Christ. At the close of the evangelistic event, from 10 to 15 June in Riga, special services are planned every evening, where people from all over Latvia and also from neighbouring countries will be invited to participate, to experience radical life changes - from minus to plus - and to celebrate what God will already have done in Latvia during the campaign. Evangelist Nathan Morris (Shake the Nations Ministries www.shakethenations.com) will minister at these services.
Within this campaign we are invited to take part in Global Outreach Day (www.GlobalOutreachDay.com), which will take place on 14 June 2014 and is being organized for the third year already in many countries of the world. The aim of this movement is for every Christian to share the gospel message in a way and place acceptable to him or her, reaching at least one person with it on that day. To achieve this goal - the salvation of many souls - we want to mobilize the church of Jesus Christ in Latvia and abroad to pray together, give, and become involved in the event. We invite local churches and Christians already now to begin praying, fasting (with the opportunity to register online at www.lugsana.lv) and giving finances, as well as planning personal participation in the event (mission trips, evangelistic events, etc.).

We pray and believe that the saving message of the gospel will reach a large part of Latvia's residents, who will be given the opportunity to hear and respond to this message, and that new churches will be planted and existing churches encouraged to continue spreading the Kingdom of God in our land with even greater zeal.
We want Jesus Christ to be at the centre of the event and for Him to be glorified; therefore we invite you to pray, give, and participate!
