Sports project competition

The Riga City Council Department of Education, Culture and Sports (RD IKSD) announces a competition for financial support for organizing sports projects and sports competitions important to the city of Riga from August 1 of this year to January 31. Sports organizations mentioned in the Sports Law that operate in the city of Riga are invited to participate in the competition. The aim of the competition is to financially support sports activities and competitions implemented by organizations in the city of Riga, thereby promoting the development of sport in the city and encouraging the growth of the capital's best athletes, as well as residents' involvement in physical activities and meaningful leisure time. Funding will be allocated to sports activities and competitions, including the organization of international and local-level competitions and popular sports events, the implementation of physical activities for children and young people, including those from social risk groups, as well as people with special needs. Funding of no more than 20,000 lats may be allocated to one sports competition or event.

Competition participants must submit applications by May 25 at 16:00 at Kr. Valdemara Street 5, Customer Service Center.
