Open Churches Days, 18-19.06

The Church Building Renewal Fund invites your congregation as well to participate in Open Churches Days (ABD) on June 18 and 19, 2011. Open Churches Days will take place for the second year already. During them we invite the congregations of Latvia's four largest denominations to open the doors of their churches and invite believers and every person to come in, to hold a service or Holy Mass, organize concerts, exhibitions and other events. Open Churches Days are also a special occasion to attract the attention and support of municipalities and local entrepreneurs to the restoration needs of existing churches and the construction of new church buildings. Let us open doors and hearts - let us invite people from near and far to enter churches. Let us show what we Christians are like ourselves and what our churches are like. We will await and welcome as guests also people who do not come to church in everyday life; let us help and support those who are having a hard time!
