“Crisis Pregnancy Center” invites you to study!

The Crisis Pregnancy Center is starting the new academic year and offers the following training courses for potential Center volunteers, as well as specialists from other organizations:

Called to Care - counseling in cases of crisis pregnancy (unplanned pregnancy and other crisis-promoting situations, such as social circumstances, family problems, teenage pregnancy, etc.). The course covers the following topics: crisis theory and intervention techniques, Egan's counseling model and other topics, including child development during pregnancy, abortion, adoption, social assistance and other related topics (15 classes, 3 hours each; tuition fee 25 LVL for the whole course).

Journey - counseling after abortion, miscarriage or the loss of a child. A 10-step program (10 classes, 3 hours each; tuition fee 20 LVL for the whole course).

Both programs mentioned above have been developed and certified in Great Britain and Latvia and adapted to the Latvian situation. Course graduates will receive a certificate with credit points awarded by the Ministry of Health, Certification Council of the Latvian Nurses Association.

The training courses are planned to begin on November 14 (Wednesday group) and November 17 (Saturday group). The studies will take place at Terbatas Street 38-4, Riga.
