Nollie Malabuyo is the pastor of Big Springs Community Church, Montague, California, a mission congregation of the United Reformed Churches in North America (URCNA).
He has earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Philippines and a master’s degree from Westminster Seminary California.
Pastor Malabuyo has taught courses in Bible, systematic and practical theology at two Bible colleges and seminaries in the Philippines. He has also lectured in the Philippines as part of International Theological Education Ministries (ITEM).
In these classes we will study the fifth book of the New Testament, often called Acts of the Apostles. We will study and analyse the history of the church’s growth after Christ’s resurrection and ascension into heaven. We will examine the content of the book in detail, as well as the various stages of the church’s growth throughout the world, the different approaches used by the apostles and evangelists in this process of church growth, and patterns of worship in apostolic times. We will study how important the events of Acts are in the overall salvation history of Holy Scripture. We will compare and contrast different theological views related to the events and teachings of this book. Finally, we will seek to interpret and relate Acts to the present day - how it applies to each Christian individually and to churches as a whole.
