THE LAST CONCERT OF THIS PROJECT THIS YEAR!
Several Latvian musicians have united in a common interdenominational project, “A New Song of Praise”, in which 11 new songs have already been recorded, and other previously unrecorded praise and worship songs are also being sought.
Beginning in March, the project “A New Song of Praise” has visited eight Latvian cities with the aim of meeting the musical talents of local churches and together with them finding new worship songs. As the project organizers promise, these newly found songs will be recorded by a group of professional musicians already at the end of the summer. This will open the opportunity for those involved in musical ministry in Latvian churches to broaden the range of musical choices, and will also give new talents an opportunity to present themselves more widely. The new songs will be included in the musical bank of the project's praise and worship groups.
The concerts will also feature songs recorded last year, which are now already available for evaluation. “This can be done on the YouTube channel Jauna slavas dziesma. If someone likes them, they can freely use them in their church praise and worship groups. The main idea is to create choice - each church will take from all our work what is most suitable for it,” the project's author and initiator Andris Lanka tells the portal Maranathamusic.lv.
