Prayer Night 06.04-07.04.

Proclaim the Lord's death until He comes! /1 Cor. 11:26/

It is Easter time, and the “Prayer Night” project, with the support of denominational leaders, invites Christians of all churches to organize a united prayer night in their churches and home groups from 6 April at 21:00 until 7 April at whatever time is possible for each. Christian Radio will also have a special night programme with pastors participating.

On this night we will live through what it meant for Christ in the past, remember what His death gives us today, and think about what awaits us in the future. What does Jesus' sacrifice mean to me personally?

At Easter we are invited to reflect on and, as it were, live through the events that took place 2000 years ago. These events are not only history, but something that has and will have an impact on every person personally until the end of the world. Christ's suffering, death, and Resurrection are events that do not remain outside us. It is our opportunity to reflect on God's grace and try to understand the truth of Christ's love. Thinking about Easter, we must go deeper into what it means for Christ and for me in the past. We must think about what it gives me today and what awaits me in the future because of His sacrifice.

In the past
We remember all the events that took place in those days in Jerusalem. The humiliation, pain, suffering, and human rejection that Jesus experienced. The betrayal of friends and the agonizing death with the words on His lips: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!” For one purpose - to save people from punishment and death, to give people the opportunity to become children of God and experience His nearness every day. His death took away everything that separated me and you from God and His love. For us it was a free gift, but for Jesus it cost very much. Practically everything we can imagine when thinking about pain. He walked this road, and we must certainly remember it.

In the present
It is the life of a redeemed child of God, meeting the Risen Christ every day. Feeling His presence in tears, true worship, and the feeling that Someone very Great, Strong, and Mighty loves you as you are. It is a true conversation with our Lord about Him, about ourselves, and about our relationships. It is enjoying all the blessings and promises Jesus has promised. Answered prayers, peace and joy, trust in God in all our ways. Serving with power, guidance from the Holy Spirit, and a full life with Jesus. These are relationships that we enjoy and in which we grow.

In the future
Thinking about it, we must say that we do not understand everything, but we believe that the day will come when He will come for us - His children - so that we may be together forever. We believe that the day will come when all battles have been fought, all ministries completed, and all works done. Christ Jesus will come as Lord and King to reign forever and receive all glory and honour. As it is written in the Bible - He will wipe away every tear from the eyes of those who loved Him, served Him, and waited for Him to come again.

God's dream will be fulfilled - nothing will separate us anymore, we will be His children and He will be our beloved Heavenly Father.
All this only and precisely because there was Easter, there was Golgotha, and there was the Word “It is finished!”
On Prayer Night let us be united and live Easter with the heart!
