“One Way youth” camp, 8-13.08.2011

The youth group informs
English language camp - One Way youth

Time: August 8-13
Age limit: 13-20 years
Place: “Norkalni” camp center (www.norkalni.lv)
Registration deadline: until August 1!!!

Program:

  • Traditional and non-traditional sports

  • Theater classes

  • Dance classes

  • Creative handicrafts

  • Guest time

  • Talk show

  • Evening by the campfire

  • Trampoline

  • Video

  • Slideshow

  • Special dinner (theme to be specified)

  • Night challenge

  • And other surprises!

The camp is based on Christian core values, and every participant will have the opportunity to learn more about God by taking part in morning and evening meetings, as well as group discussion times!




Participation fee:


Registering by June 15:
1 person - 70 lats
5 people (sending applications at the same time) - 60 lats*.

Registering by August 1:
1 person - 80 lats
5 people (sending applications at the same time) - 70 lats*.

*The discount applies specifically to a group of 5 people. A sixth participant must already form a new group.
(When registering, at least half of the participation fee must be paid!)
Discounts are available for children from the same family (write or call personally).

The participation fee includes:
Accommodation in rooms
Meals 4 times a day
All camp activities
All necessary everyday amenities (hot water, showers, etc.)
Travel to the camp from Riga and back (if necessary)
Medical assistance

INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUS:

Participants will be able to travel to the camp by the camp bus (free of charge) on Monday at 11:00.
At the end of the camp on Saturday, participants will be dropped off at the same place at 16:00.
The bus will arrive at the parking lot by the Christian center “Laba Vests” (Riga, Unijas Street 99), next to the RIMI supermarket. Getting there is very simple - take trolleybus 11 or 18 (in the center of Riga opposite Origo) and ride to the “Unijas iela” stop.

Bring with you:

  • Clothing for the special dinner

  • Sleeping bag (or bed linen)

  • Toiletries (towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)

  • Sports shoes and clothing

  • Clothing for rainy weather (raincoat, etc.)

  • Hat

  • At least two pairs of shoes

  • Swimsuit/swimming trunks and towel

  • Writing materials

  • Bible or New Testament (if you have one)

  • Money (if you want to buy souvenirs, a camp T-shirt, etc.)

  • Necessary medications

  • Doctor's certificate (mandatory!)



To register for the camp:

1. You must fill in the application form and contract! (if you are not yet 18, your parents or guardians must do this!)
2. Send these documents to the address - “Vispasaules Berni”, Vilandes Street 9-1, Riga, LV 1010. (do not send registered letters!) or by email: oneway@vispasaulesberni.lv
3. The participation fee must be paid at the same time as the application form and contract are sent, by August 1, by transfer to the account*:

Payment purpose: (participant's name, surname) participation fee for ONE WAY youth camp

4. Upon receiving your application form and contract, as well as the money transfer, the participant's name will be entered in the participant list (see below).
5. Do not forget the DOCTOR'S CERTIFICATE. Without it, participation in the camp will be denied!


This certificate must contain the following information about the participant:
  • vaccinations received (or a copy of the vaccination passport where this is written)

  • pediculosis check

  • allergies

  • chronic illnesses

  • use of special medications.


!!! The doctor's certificate must be issued 1-10 days before the camp.

*payment can be made at any bank or post office. In case of non-arrival, the money will not be refunded, except in case of illness confirmed by a doctor's note, or if the camp leader is notified of non-arrival no later than 2 weeks before the start of the camp!
