Thirst for God fasting

Interdenominational fast for pastors and ministers, "Thirst for God". Let us seek the Lord and His strength; let us seek His face.

Dear friends and ministers!

A new year is approaching, and the most valuable thing we as ministers can dream of is to be very close to our Heavenly Father, to receive a specific Word from Jesus and to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking about tasks and goals for the future. Without that, our ministry is only works without Life, needed neither by God nor by people. We want to be fruitful, alive and genuine. It is not that there is nothing, but could we not experience much more?

How can we do this?
Jesus taught this to His disciples, experienced it Himself in His own life, and left us an example.

"After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with Him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There He was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them." /Mark 9:2-3/

What will this give me?
You will say NO to busyness and haste, and show God how deeply you need more than the everyday. You will certainly experience something new and fresh. Most importantly, you will experience Jesus and be changed into His likeness.

Will it cost me anything?
Yes. Time, stopping, thirst. But what costs much also receives much.
The disciples, set apart on the mountain, saw Jesus very differently than in their everyday life. You too, dear minister, are invited to climb this mountain and experience change.

The association "Tautas Lugsana" has received a call and support from ministers to organize a public three-day common fast, thereby giving pastors and ministers of all denominations who carry responsibility in the church an opportunity to separate themselves from everyday work and concerns, with the purpose of praying and fasting for their personal relationship with God, for the Body of Christ, the church, and for our land, Latvia.
Therefore we invite you to set aside time and join the interdenominational 3-day fast.

Planned content of the fast:
Services in which anointed preachers from Ukraine and Latvia will minister;
Various worship groups;
Much time to pray;

Time of the fast: January 12 to 14, 2012 (the second weekend of January).

Place: Saldus, Liela iela 26, in the premises of Gregora skola.

Registration fee: For the first 50 people - 15.00 LVL (in the premises of Gregora skola).

Accommodation: Participants in the fast will be placed in rooms of 2-4 people (men and women separately). Shower facilities will be provided. Please bring bed linen and personal hygiene items.

Meals: Meals are not provided in the program. During the fast, water and tea will be provided. If anyone needs food, please arrange it yourself. On the last day, before departure, lunch is planned.
