The Battle for Our Brains, lecture 20.10

The organization True Love Waits invites young people to a lecture series at the LELB Youth Center club Melnā aita. The next lecture in the series, titled The Battle for Our Brains, will take place already on Thursday, October 20 at 19:00.

The lecture series Love Revolution opened at the LELB Youth Center on October 15, when young people had the opportunity to hear a lecture about sexuality. This week, on Thursday, October 20 at 19:00, the association True Love Waits invites you to the lecture The Battle for Our Brains. How do we evaluate information that comes from different sources in everyday life? What are these sources? And why is there a battle for our attention? Answers to these and other questions can be heard this Thursday at the LELB Youth Center club Melnā aita.

The association True Love Waits is a youth organization that supports family values and encourages young people to abstain from sexual relations until marriage, offering an alternative way of building relationships today, when unstable families and irresponsible relationships are a problem. True Love Waits has nine years of experience working with young people in Latvia. Several thousand young people have already heard about the reasons why to wait, with teaching on values such as selfless love, faithfulness to one person for a lifetime, taking responsibility for another, building self-esteem, self-control and patience. True Love Waits offers lectures on topics such as Why wait until marriage?, The danger of pornography, False love and unhealthy sexuality, A girl's value, What it means to be a man and others. According to data from True Love Waits, at least 4000 young people in Latvia have decided to abstain from premarital sexual relations.
