LEA informs - Christmas Miracle

CHRISTMAS MIRACLE - YOU CAN BECOME PART OF IT!

The Latvian Evangelical Alliance, in cooperation with Ogre Christian churches, public organizations and with the support of Ogre City Council, is organizing a charity Christmas program for the third year already. It has received broad response and gratitude among residents of Ogre and Ogre Region.
Again we want to thank you for your support and participation in carrying out previous projects.
Our goal remains unchanged - to bring people the Good News of Christ's birth and to bring joy to both children and adults.

This year we want to carry out the program in the following directions:

  • Organize a children's drawing competition-exhibition "Christmas Miracle" on the first floor of the Ogres Prestižs shopping center;

  • Travel with a concert to cultural centers in Ogre district parishes;

  • Conclude the drawing competition "Christmas Miracle" with prizes, gifts and a festive concert in the Ogres Prestižs hall on December 26 at 15:00.

We hope that this year you will also be participants and supporters of this project.

The charity campaign is planned from November 27 to December 26.

We ask you to take part in this project and help us carry it out:

  • in the drawing competition, by providing children's visual art works in A3 format;

  • in the concert program;

  • in preparing gifts for children;

  • in advertising and promoting the event.

All children of Ogre Region are invited to participate in the drawing exhibition-competition "Christmas Miracle", which will take place from November 27 to December 26 on the first floor of the Ogres Prestižs shopping center near the TOP store. This competition has gained wide popularity; last year about 150 children participated.

Children will be able to depict their emotions and associations - what the Christmas miracle is, how they see and feel it. Young talents from schools and kindergartens aged 4 to 16 are invited to participate. Young artists may submit works in various techniques and forms. The drawing format is A3. On the back of the work the author's name, surname, age, contact phone and address must be written so that the organizers can contact exhibition participants and competition winners. From November 27 until December 23, drawings may be submitted in special Christmas Miracle mailboxes placed near the TOP store on the first floor. The best works will be awarded at the closing event on December 26 at 15:00 in the concert hall on the third floor of the Ogres Prestižs shopping center. The award event program includes gifts for all children, special prizes for competition winners, audience favorite prizes, a concert and surprises for children. Children's drawings will be evaluated by a jury led by Ogre Art School director Pēteris Aulmanis and representatives of the Latvian Evangelical Alliance.
