Anatomy of a Hero - camp

Student summer camp, August 17-21, Pļaviņas Region Gymnasium branch in Odziena

At the camp, National Armed Forces chaplain Jānis Akmens will speak on the theme of heroism. We will discuss what a hero is, a hero's values, motivation, gains or losses, and whether it is cool for us ourselves to be heroes.

Also at the camp:
Small group show, team games, sports, arm-wrestling competition, night hike with challenging tasks
Seminars: On an ecological lifestyle, on volunteer work, for guys and girls, "True Love Waits" and others.
Workshops: Creative, photography, improvisation theatre, board games, men's matters and others.

Bring with you:

• a sleeping bag and sleeping mat


• something to write down the insights you gain


• last year's jam for tea evenings


• clothes for sports, hiking and swimming


• a flashlight


• a good mood

Registration: until August 8 here or by phone 26323213 (Rita)

Arrival: August 17 from 16:00 (everything will begin at 19:00 with dinner)

Participation fee: Ls 23 if registered by August 8 (includes accommodation and meals 3 times a day); Ls 25 if registering later or arriving without registration.

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old!
